Events

Out of the wide plethora of events I have been a part of inside and outside of school, here are some of the notable contributions I have done besides being part of the planning from start to finish.

AUGSS X ACF presents

"Panel Session: Professional Pathways to Combat the Climate Crisis"

I organised and hosted the "Panel Session on Professional Pathways to Combat the Climate Crisis" with the Auckland Climate Festival (ACF), as the Events Officer for Auckland University's Global Studies Society (AUGSS).

In line with the festival's Ngā hua o Wai theme, I wanted to seize this opportunity to showcase how interconnected the climate crisis is across all sectors and industries. It was my absolute pleasure to speak to such passionate individuals invested in our collective future. You can see more on my LinkedIn here.

I had proposed this during our application for a grant and obtained funds for it. I then planned the whole event, with some help from my committee to contact some speakers, do marketing, and support me on the day itself. I provided plant-based snacks for refreshments and ensured we honoured the session with a karakia.

UNASMUN 2017

UNAS logo draft 3_edited.png

For the 9th edition of the United Nations Association of Singapore's Model UN conference (UNASMUN) in 2017, I was tasked to help the event's publicity on Instagram as the Publicity Director. I also designed the event collaterals and merchandise.

The conference saw over 900 participants gathering for the 4-day event –a record number compared to the previous editions,

These are some of the social media collaterals I helped design for the recruitment calls and registration calls for the conference.

This contributed to the record number of participants UNASMUN had seen in 10 years.

LOGO IDEATION

EVENT COLLATERALS

I designed this logo in line with the conference's focus on the UN's Sustainable Development Goals for that year.

Besides the logo, I also designed event merchandise consistent with the branding. These products included  lanyards, inserts, T-shirts, drawstring and tote bags.
